"The Well-Tempered Violin" is a permanent "work in progress". It is a collection of studies for violonists as a preparation for the polyphonic works for solo violin by Bach (Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin), based on the preludes and fugues from "The Well-Tempered Clavier".
